A true Automotive Amp Rack, as defined by the inventors and manufacturers here at LLJ Customs Car Audio Fabrication, is made from quality materials, that are not combustible and suited to withstand heat, weight, and maintain rigidity. As to simplify the installation of one or multiple amplifiers onto an existing mounting location in the project vehicle. Its sole purpose is to prevent unnecessary modifications or damage to the vehicle. Such as, using screws or other non-reversible methods of attachment.

One of the main reasons the Automotive Amp Rack was designed is to allow the assembly, testing and beautification of aftermarket equipment (such as amplifiers, processor, crossovers, etc.) outside of the vehicle, prior to installing. A properly laid out Amp Rack will allow the installer room for suitable wire management and component installation. By using appropriate securing methods, such as loop through, zip-ties, wire clips, threaded inserts and other secure methods of mounting. Another purpose and feature of a proper Automotive Amp Rack is equipment security. The Amp Rack will be fastened to the vehicle in such a manner that it adds a level of difficulty when attempting to steal or remove the equipment.

Adequate materials to use would be ABS, HDPE and heat-transfer friendly material. Things such as wood, MDF or carpeted sub straights, are not recommended due to their inability to safely disperse and handle heat.
